Summer has finally arrived in Door County, and with it comes the start of another salmon season here at Big Bite Adventures. June marks the beginning of some outstanding fishing on Lake Michigan, and things only get better as we move into July and August.

Our salmon and trout charters are based out of Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin, right in the middle of the Door County peninsula. That makes us just a short drive from Sister Bay, Ephraim, Fish Creek, Egg Harbor, Jacksonport, and Sturgeon Bay. Whether you're spending the week on vacation, visiting family, or just looking for something fun to do in Door County, a day on the water is a great way to make memories.

We offer private Door County fishing charters for everyone from first-time anglers to experienced fishermen. Many of our guests are families on vacation, couples looking for something different to do together, groups of friends, bachelor parties, and corporate groups. With three boats in our fleet, we can accommodate groups as large as sixteen people, but we also enjoy taking one or two anglers out for a more personal experience.

Salmon season is just getting underway and will continue through the summer and into early September. July and August are traditionally some of the best months for salmon fishing in Door County, with opportunities to catch king salmon, coho salmon, steelhead, and lake trout. These fish are exciting to catch and excellent on the table.

One thing that makes fishing out of Baileys Harbor unique is how quickly we can get to the fishing grounds. Deep water is close to shore, which means more time fishing and less time riding. Instead of spending a large part of the trip running to the fish, we're usually setting lines shortly after leaving the marina.

After the trip, we work with Baileys Harbor Fish Company to make taking your catch home easy. They can clean, vacuum seal, freeze, and even smoke your fish so you can enjoy fresh Door County salmon long after your vacation is over.

In addition to our Lake Michigan salmon charters, we continue to run guided smallmouth bass trips and walleye fishing trips on the Bay of Green Bay. Spring and fall are excellent times for bass fishing and walleye fishing in Door County, while summer belongs to the salmon and trout fishery.

Door County has become one of Wisconsin's top vacation destinations, and there are plenty of things to do around Sister Bay, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Egg Harbor, Baileys Harbor, and Sturgeon Bay. For many visitors, spending a morning or evening on the water chasing salmon has become a tradition. Kids love it, grandparents love it, and even people who have never fished before are often surprised by how much fun they have.

At Big Bite Adventures, our goal is simple. We want to provide a safe, enjoyable trip and give our guests an experience they'll remember for years to come. We take pride in running clean boats, using quality equipment, and helping anglers of all ages and skill levels enjoy some of the best fishing Door County has to offer.

If you're planning a summer vacation and are looking for a Door County fishing charter, a salmon charter out of Baileys Harbor, a guided fishing trip near Sister Bay or Fish Creek, or simply one of the best family activities in Door County, we'd love the opportunity to fish with you.

Summer dates in June, July, and August are filling quickly. If you'd like more information about our salmon trips, trout trips, smallmouth bass trips, or walleye trips, give us a call or send us a text at 920-883-7918.
