Door County Fishing June 1st - June 5th

bigbiteadventures

Salmon: Salmon fishing in Door County is just firing up! We have been seeing some nice King Salmon, Coho Salmon and Rainbow Trout. Water temperatures are warmer than usual for this time of year which should make for a good upcoming fishing season in Door County! Fish are starting to show up in southern Door County near Sturgeon Bay and will continue their migration north to Bailey's Harbor where BigBite Adventures is located. We do have a few openings left in June and July, we are very booked but will do our best to get you in our schedule.

Walleye: Walleye fishing in Door County has been very tough with the later than normal spring and warmer water temperatures than normal. This week we did see a few more walleye's mixed in with our bass trips which is a really good sign! Walleye's should start moving into shallower water very soon. Walleye fishing has been tough on the lower bay of Green Bay due to the healthy population of Alewife's. Walleye fishing will get better as we move into July and August as our water temperatures warm up, and our Alewife population thins out. Our best Walleye dates are August, September and October!

Smallmouth: Smallmouth fishing in Door County has been a little tougher this week due to the fact the fish are spawning. We are still seeing a few groups of pre-spawn fish around but will all most likely be spawning by the end of the week. The bass bite will get much more predictable in August and moving into the fall as fish will start schooling up on more summer spots as the water warms up! Please text or call Spenser at (920-883-7198) to book your next Door County fishing adventure. It is much faster to get ahold of Spenser via text or call.
