Walleye fishing in Door County remains very good. We are seeing a strong post spawn bite right now. Walleyes of all sizes have been showing up in the net. A lot of 23-28" fish this year with a few Walleyes so far over that 30" mark! We have been fishing near Sturgeon Bay, with warmer water been seen the further south you travel down the bay towards Green Bay. This walleye bite will remain good here for a few weeks!

Smallmouth are starting to show up with the warmer weather and it will only get better as we push into May! Our catch and release smallmouth season on the bay of Green Bay has really grown in popularity. I remember 5 years ago I was usually the only boat smallmouth fishing the last week of April. Just yesterday I saw at least 50-60 boats on the water fishing for bass. I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing! Water temps are warmer than I have ever seen them for the last week of April. Our Bass near Sturgeon Bay will for sure be on beds here by the 2-3 week of May. Our fishing near Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim and Sister Bay will also be very much ahead of schedule as well. Every year our water temps get warmer and warmer sooner in the spring. Everything is changing on the Bay of Green Bay. If you would like to learn more about our spring Smallmouth bite, we do have a few more openings towards the end of may!

Salmon and Trout season will also be way ahead of schedule this spring. I would like to think our salmon and trout will be showing up early June this year. Our salmon population of Lake Michigan will be another banner year. This year could possibly be one of the best summers we have seen on the lake side in many years. Please contact us if you would like to experience this amazing salmon fishery that we have in Door county. These trips are based out of Baileys Harbor WI. Please contact us at 920-883-7918 if you would like more info on booking a Salmon and Trout trip!
